On Thursday, September 29, 2016 Governor Jerry Brown signed the California Secure Choice Retirement Savings Act (SB 1234). With the passing of Secure Choice nearly 7 million Californians will now be able to participate in a workplace retirement savings plan. Secure Choice will offer an easy, safe, and portable way to help private sector workers add to their retirement savings. This landmark piece of legislation will not only help Californians, but will serve as a national model for promoting retirement savings for all.

SACRAMENTO – Today, the California Secure Choice Retirement Savings Investment Board held its first meeting since the passage of the California Secure Choice Retirement Savings Act (SB 1234), introduced by Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De León and signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown.
